Picture Book Publishing For Kids (Ages 6 - 10)

Join local Kidlit authors from A Pop of Indie for a week-long course on publishing children's books. 

Best suited for first to fifth grade students, this course will introduce kids to the world of writing picture books. The goal of this class will be to engage and enlighten students in the writing and illustration process. Throughout the week, they will learn the brainstorming, story drafting and editing processes, and the illustration and character development part of picture books. With author Q&A's and story time sessions during the week, students get to learn firsthand from published authors on how to create stories that have a lasting impression. At the very end of the class, we will celebrate their very own picture books!
