Participants have access to a variety of exercise equipment, including treadmills, stationary bikes, dumbbells, and weight machines to help build strength, improve endurance, and support overall wellness. Looking for a low-impact workout? Take advantage of our indoor walking/running space. With plenty of space to move, train, and stay comfortable year-round, this adults-only program is the perfect way to stay fit regardless of the weather outside. Wear comfortable workout attire and athletic shoes, and come enjoy a cool, convenient place to keep moving! The Fitness Center is available for community use seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please be aware that the Field House may be unavailable during scheduled classes, programs, special events, or private rentals.Fall/Winter 2026- 2027 -

Introduction to DrawingAdult EnrichmentBeginning and advanced students will expand on their art skills!We explore working with graphite and charcoal as our materials, and we will practice how to draw by observation. What are the basic shapes of the object and how to build volume by adding shading. Usually, you have used a pencil to add the darker values, and we will also reverse that by using a white colored pencil to pull out the highlights of the object on black paper. We will be observing regular everyday objects, since it’s fall, fall produce, apples, gourds. It’s better to draw from different viewpoints—seeing it in the round. Kids In The KitchenYouth EnrichmentHey kids! We can show you how fun and easy cooking can be! Learn to make delicious recipes with plenty of tasting along the way! Give your child the gift of confidence and the joy of cooking! Our program offers hands-on cooking lessons for budding young chefs. We learn more than how to follow a recipe. We utilize math, science, teamwork, creativity and more. Children will make 1 recipe each week and of course get to taste their creation at the end of each class. Recipe cards will also be written out by each child to take and make at home. This is a class for children 9 years of age and older. PLEASE NOTE: Each cooking session will be making and tasting a different dish. LSPS Community Center Field TripLake Shore District Activities/EventsGet ready for two action-packed hours of fun, movement, and adventure at the Community Center! This field trip is exclusively for Lake Shore Public Schools students and staff and features a rotation of exciting activities designed to keep students engaged and active. Students will rotate through: 🏓 Pickleball – Learn the basics and enjoy some friendly competition. 🧗 Rock Wall – Challenge yourself on our exciting indoor climbing wall. 🎯 Yard Games – Play a variety of fun games and test your skills. ⚾ Batting Cage – Step up to the plate and take some swings! With a variety of activities packed into your two-hour block, students will have the opportunity to try something new, be active, and enjoy time together outside the classroom. Important: This field trip is available to Lake Shore Public Schools students and staff only. Two additional adult chaperones are requested, and all students must be actively supervised by an adult at all times.
